Brigitte Paulowitz
Film restorer, archivist, curator
After studying German literature, I completed my training as a film preservationist at the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, N.Y. I have worked as an audiovisual conservator, restorer and curator at the Austrian Film Museum Vienna, the National Film Archive Thailand, AV Preservation by reto.ch Ecublens and the Lichtspiel/Kinemathek Bern, where I continue to work as a film restorer on a small scale in addition to my work for the company Gottfried + Luise GmbH. I have organised several international symposia, am active in training and further education at various institutions, and am a member of the film competence network at Memoriav.
